As society slowly rebounds from the COVID-19 crisis, please reflect on the institutions and cultural elements that bring so much joy and learning to so many. These organizations and museums such as the Alberta Railway Museum have weathered the COVID storm but the long term ramifications — the threat of future lockdowns, loss of visitors and volunteers, and possible funding cuts by governments coping with massive pandemic-related debts — are still unknown.
Giving Tuesday is the “Opening day of the giving season,” and is a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for Giving Tuesday. You can find more information at https://givingtuesday.ca/
If you’d like to donate, click on the link below to make a donation through Canada Helps.org and a tax receipt will be issued for any amount of $25 or more.
